HEBER CITY, Utah — Heber City is seeking public input on the future of its planned Main Street Park, also referred to as the Trailhead Plaza, a project city officials describe as a mixed-use public gathering space intended to support both economic activity and community life. The city posted the outreach effort Feb. 9 as part of its broader Envision Central Heber planning process.
According to Heber City, the Trailhead Plaza is envisioned as a “community living room” that blends commerce, recreation, and culture. Feedback gathered this month is expected to help shape the conceptual design and project recommendations.
City staff and the project team scheduled a series of in-person open houses and an online survey throughout February to collect comments from residents. The city said the outreach is intended to capture feedback from a broad range of community members, including those unable to attend in person.
One open house was held Feb. 21 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Public Safety Building, 301 South Main St. Two additional open houses are scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 26: one from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wasatch County Recreation Center, 345 W. 600 South, and another from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at J.R. Smith Elementary, 235 E. 500 North.
The city said input from the open houses and online survey will be used as planners continue developing the next phase of the Trailhead Plaza concept under the Envision Central Heber initiative
