PARK CITY, Utah — Park City School District will open enrollment for its preschool program on January 6 at 7:00 a.m., offering families a three-week window to secure spots for 3- and 4-year-olds before registration closes on January 23.
The district offers preschool programs at all four elementary schools, with both full-day and half-day options available. Full-day preschool runs Monday through Thursday from 8:10 a.m. to 3:05 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Half-day sessions operate Monday through Thursday from 8:10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. and Friday from 8:10 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
Families will use the Eleyo system on the district’s website, www.pcschools.us, to request a preschool spot. School placements will be announced by February 2, giving parents time to arrange after-school care and transportation.
Children must be 3 or 4 years old by September 1 and reside within Park City School District boundaries to enroll. Tuition is listed as less than $1,000 per month, though eligible families can receive tuition assistance through scholarships from the Department of Workforce Services and UPWARD.
District officials say preschool provides students with a strong foundation before entering kindergarten. Kindergarten teachers report that preschool graduates arrive ready to learn, thanks to a program that supports early academics while nurturing social and emotional development.
After-school care is available separately and offers supervised activities for preschoolers until 6 p.m. Registration for the after-school program opens in early February at an additional cost.
District preschool administrative secretary Melissa Tschabrun and outreach coordinator are available to guide families through enrollment and scholarship application processes. For preschool questions, families can contact Tschabrun at mtschabrun@pcschools.us. For after-school care inquiries, contact Michelle Coy at mcoy@pcschools.us.
The preschool program is supported in part by a grant from the Park City Education Foundation, including a gift from Park City Mountain through Vail Resorts EpicPromise.
