PARK CITY, Utah — The Park City Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau, in partnership with Mountainlands Community Housing Trust, Rossignol, JANS, and Fishwest, has launched the third year of its Workforce Employer Rental Incentive Program, known as WE RIP.
The initiative, announced Oct. 1, is designed to help address affordable housing challenges in the area by incentivizing landlords to rent to local seasonal and year-round employees. “Seasonal workers are the backbone of our visitor economy, bringing energy, dedication, and heart to the community,” said Scott House, vice president of partner services at the Park City Chamber. “Programs like WE RIP give us the opportunity to give back—supporting housing, rewarding their contributions, and fostering a truly ‘Mountainkind’ community where everyone thrives.”
Landlords who apply online and rent to the local workforce are eligible for incentives that include Rossignol alpine skis and bindings, a fly-fishing rod and reel package from Orvis or Sage courtesy of JANS & Fishwest, or a $300 Mountainkind card from the Park City Chamber. Rental listings are posted on the WE RIP website and are available exclusively to employees of Chamber partners until filled.
Last year, WE RIP generated 13 listings, totaling 22 rooms and up to 36 beds. This year, organizers hope to expand the program by engaging 15 to 20 landlords, providing up to 40 to 50 beds. “Mountainlands Community Housing Trust is committed to expanding housing opportunities in the Wasatch Back, and the WE RIP program provides a unique way for local businesses and residents to come together to address the critical need for housing in our area,” said Jason Glidden, executive director of the trust.

The Park City Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau represents more than 1,000 businesses in Summit County. Founded in 1963 to promote local ski resorts, it has expanded its mission to support community health, economic stability, cultural preservation, and sustainable tourism.
