Live PC Give PC Marks 15 Years of Giving, Aims for $5.15 Million and 7,150 Donors

PARK CITY, Utah — The Park City Community Foundation is set to host the 15th annual Live PC Give PC on Friday, Nov. 7, inviting residents, second homeowners, and visitors to participate in the community’s largest day of giving.

This year, the goal is to raise $5.15 million from at least 7,150 individual donors to support 144 local nonprofits that enhance life across the Wasatch Back and beyond. Since its inception in 2011, this 24-hour online giving event has raised over $35 million for various causes, including education, the arts, mental health, housing, and animal welfare.

“The community spirit that has been on full display for the past 14 years during Live PC Give PC is remarkable and inspiring,” said Joel Zarrow, president and CEO of Park City Community Foundation. “Despite early snowstorms and even the pandemic, the commitment to our nonprofits and local pride remains unwavering. We have high hopes for this celebratory 15th year and encourage everyone to give whatever amount they can.”

Early Giving and Incentives

Early donations are currently open at LivePCGivePC.org, but Zarrow noted that special incentives are available for those who give on November 7. Throughout the day, surprise “Power Hours” will increase donations by $10 each, thanks to the presenting sponsors Park City Mountain and Vail Resorts’ EpicPromise.

Community Celebrations

Two community celebrations will mark the day’s festivities. The all-ages Giving Day Fest, sponsored by Weedon Ranch, will take place at the Park City Library from 4 to 6:30 p.m. This event will feature live music produced by Mountain Town Music, free tacos, donuts from Chomp, hot chocolate, face painting, scavenger hunts, and games.

Later that evening, adults 21 and older are invited to High West Saloon from 8 p.m. to midnight to celebrate the day with local nonprofits, volunteers, and donors. Additionally, several partner events will be held throughout Park City and Summit County.

A Community-Wide Effort

Zarrow emphasized that Live PC Give PC is about collective impact. “We encourage everyone who lives here, has a second home here, or recreates in our mountain paradise to contribute to the organizations that resonate with them,” he stated. “From social services to art and culture, sports, animal welfare, and healthcare, Summit County’s nonprofits are truly the backbone of our community.”

In honor of this milestone year, organizers have outlined 15 ways to participate, including volunteering, donating, attending events, and spreading awareness on social media.
