PARK CITY — Teton Gravity Research (TGR), the action-sports film company with deep roots in mountain culture, is celebrating its 30th ski and snowboard film with a special screening in Park City next week.
“Pressure Drop” will show Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 7 p.m. at the Jim Santy Auditorium. The screening comes one night after the film’s Salt Lake City premiere at Red Butte Garden Amphitheatre.
The new film blends TGR’s trademark big-mountain cinematography with a retrospective nod to three decades of ski and snowboard filmmaking. Shot in locations ranging from Norway to Jackson Hole, Pressure Drop captures world-class athletes pushing the limits on some of the planet’s most challenging and fragile terrain.
For Park City audiences, the screening continues a long tradition of TGR films drawing the local ski community together each fall, as the countdown to winter begins.
Tickets for the Salt Lake City event are $30 for adults and $15 for youth 16 and under (plus fees). The Park City showing at Jim Santy Auditorium is hosted by the Park City Film Series, which regularly brings ski and adventure films to town alongside independent cinema.
Founded in 1996, TGR has built a loyal following for its annual ski films and mountain lifestyle projects. This year’s release not only looks back on three decades of iconic descents but also sets the tone for the next chapter in TGR’s storytelling.
