PARK CITY, Utah – An arrest warrant was issued Monday for former Park City attorney Joseph Wrona, who was convicted of sexually assaulting his adult daughter.
Third District Judge Richard Mrazik issued the warrant for his arrest citing a probation violation. Park City police are directed to arrest Wrona, now 62, and deliver him to the Summit County Jail. The violation was not specified, though it could mean a prison term of up to 15 years for Wrona.
In January 2024, Wrona was sentenced after pleading guilty to forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony, and incest, a third-degree felony. He was to serve 364 days in Summit County Jail, undergo 48 months of supervised probation, and comply with standard sex offender conditions, including registration. Wrona was also ordered not to contact his daughter for the rest of his life.
But Wrona was released from jail for good behavior after serving 243 days in September of 2024. His release came under the terms of a 48-month supervised probation agreement.
Wrona was initially arrested in June 2022 and charged with first-degree felony rape for sexually assaulting his adult, biological daughter in the spring. That November, he pleaded guilty to one count of forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony punishable by one to 15 years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines, as well as one count of incest, a third-degree felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison and up to $5,000 in fines.
The warrant stated Wrona is to appear before Mrazik at the next available court date. As of Tuesday morning an arrest had not yet been made.
