PARK CITY, Utah — Actor and musician Luke Grimes, best known for his role on Paramount’s Yellowstone, has joined forces with Park City-based High West Distillery to support conservation efforts across the American West. The partnership is part of High West’s ongoing Protect the West campaign, a multi-year initiative launched in 2022 that funds organizations addressing wildfire mitigation, land preservation, and sustainable recreation access.
High West, Utah’s first legal distillery since 1870, has committed over $1 million to grassroots nonprofits through the program. These include Protect Our Winters, Wildland Firefighter Foundation, and American Prairie — each selected for their direct impact on Western ecosystems and outdoor communities.
“As a brand founded in the West, we feel a responsibility to help protect the land that has given us so much,” High West noted on its Protect the West campaign page. “From raging wildfires to dwindling snowpack, the West is under threat.”
Grimes shared with American Whiskey Magazine “Every adventurer has their spot, that one place in the wild they cherish most,” said Grimes. “For me, this partnership with High West is about protecting those places before they’re gone. The Protect the West initiative is something I deeply believe in, and I’m honored to lend my voice to the cause. I’ll be raising a glass to the incredible work the High West team is doing, and I hope others will join us.”
