PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Municipal has completed a round of upgrades to the City Council Chambers aimed at making public meetings more accessible and improving the experience for both in-person attendees and online viewers.
According to the city’s A/V Specialist, Daniel Patton, the improvements include new display screens for the public, council members, and staff. A decade-old speaker system has been replaced, and new ADA-accessible listening devices are now available for in-person attendees who need them.
Automated cameras have also been installed to provide clearer visuals between those participating in person and those watching remotely.
The changes are intended to enhance transparency and ensure more residents can engage with local government, whether they’re in the room or joining virtually.
The public will get its first look at the upgrades during Thursday’s City Council meeting, which begins at 4:25 p.m.
