Run, walk free, Miners Day 5K with Twilight Rotary and with your dog

PARK CITY, Utah — The Twilight Rotary Club is once again putting on the annual Miner’s Day’s morning Bark City fun run 5k. Join your friends, neighbors, parents, kids, and colleagues on Monday Sept 1. at 8 a.m., and put a leash on your dog and bring them too.

Be done in time to see the Parade.

This historic event starts at the Historic Park City Miner’s Hospital, the out-and-back then heads to the Historic Rail Trail. Not up to running? Walkers are welcome too.

There won’t be any medals awarded, however there will be swag to choose from like water bottles, dog bandanas and collapsable dog water bowls.

There’s no fee, but donations are being accepted. And they ask that interested people register for the run here.

Twilight Rotary helps support the Lectura Lounge, the American Red Cross, and the Christian Center of Park City.

“This is a great way to kick off Miner’s day with your human and furry friends,” Park City Twilight Rotary Club President Julie Strople told TownLift. “Your donations help support PC Twilight Rotary with their yearly community projects.”

Strople, a professional CPA, has lived in Park City for 34 years, this is her sixth year in this chapter of Twilight Rotary.

Service projects include volunteering with Tree Utah, the Wasatch State Park, as well as the Sage Mountain Animal Sanctuary, and that’s just when they’re not picking up garbage on the side of the roads around Park City.
