Mixer’s & More: New Park City shop brings alcohol-free options to Main Street

PARK CITY, Utah — A new Main Street business is bringing alcohol-free beverage options to Park City. Co-owners Crystal Deakins and Paulina Baykova celebrated the ribbon-cutting for Mixers & More on Monday.

The idea for the store came from Deakins, who previously worked at a liquor store. She frequently had customers asking about non-alcoholic options. “Knowing that there’s a growing need up here, and there’s not a great outlet to find all this stuff in a convenient location, we started talking about creating this boutique,” she said.

Located in the Gateway Center, just down the street from the Swede Alley liquor store, the shop is designed to offer a comfortable browsing experience. “We wanted to create a comfortable environment for people to come in and have almost the liquor store experience without being at the liquor store,” said Deakins. “Because some people are living a sober life due to religion, health concerns, or personal choice.”

Mixers & More offers non-alcoholic wines and beers, along with mixers, syrups, bitters, freeze-dried ice cream, and specialty items from small businesses. The owners also plan to begin offering board game rentals in the next month or two. “We want to make the community feel like they can come here and get some games… and add something new,” said Baykova.

Deakins said the location was chosen in part because of the high tourist demand in Park City. “This is where a lot of people go to get away from home, to celebrate their anniversaries, to celebrate their weddings. And so we wanted to be a part of all that opportunity,” she said.

Deakins and Baykova hope the shop becomes a place where locals and visitors alike can explore new flavors, find unique gifts, and access a broader selection of non-alcoholic beverages.
