PARK CITY, Utah — Each year, the Christian Center of Park City (CCPC) provides new clothing, shoes, backpacks, and school supplies to students as they enter the upcoming school year. This year, on August 5 and 6, CCPC partners with retailers at Junction Commons to equip local students in need with essentials.
The window is open and the call is out to donate, between now and Aug. 4.
“With nearly 1,700 students registered for this year’s Back to School Basics, support from our community is vital,” Christian Center Special Events Manager Jaime Carter told TownLift. “Every donation, whether it be school supplies or a monetary donation, makes a direct impact in the lives of those we’re serving and ensures every student starts the year off prepared and confident.”
Families who have registered are given the opportunity to use an event-specific, prepaid $100 gift card per child with which to walk around to participating stores before they open to the public in the mornings and try on and choose the sizes and styles most befitting.
