PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Municipal Corporation will close a section of Main Street on Tuesday, June 24, for essential street maintenance. The closure will span from Heber Avenue to the Swede Alley intersection from 2 a.m. to approximately 2 p.m., allowing for a slurry seal application to help extend the life of the roadway.
The work is part of ongoing maintenance following a recent water line replacement and is aimed at preserving the condition and safety of the historic downtown corridor.
No vehicle access or on-street parking will be allowed during the closure. Pedestrian access will remain open, although some minor detours may be in place.
Republic Services will conduct trash collection at 3 a.m. Residents and businesses are asked to place bins out the night before and ensure they are accessible. Deliveries are discouraged during the closure, but limited staging will be available on Swede Alley for hand-cart delivery to Main Street businesses.
The street is expected to reopen by 2 p.m., though exact timing may vary depending on weather conditions and the curing process of the slurry seal.
