Monday, April 28
Incident: Disturbing the Peace
The caller stated he manages a home on Golden Way and complained that the construction workers across the street were playing loud, vulgar music.
Tuesday, April 29
Incident: Suspicious
An abandoned homeless camp was located near the intersection of Deer Valley Drive and Bonanza Drive.
Wednesday, April 30
Incident: Traffic Complaint Piper Way & E Calamity Ln,
A concerned citizen complained of have people driving double the speed limit at all hours on Piper Way and E. Calamity Lane. The caller expressed concerns for kids’ safety and requested extra patrol.
Thursday, May 1
Incident: Drugs
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation on the I-80 Westbound onramp. During the stop Deputies observed an open container in the vehicle. Deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and drug paraphernalia was located for two separate occupants of the vehicle. Citations were issued and all parties were released from custody.
Incident: Information
Multiple calls came into the Park City Police Department stating that there was an earthquake. No callers requested assistance, but all callers seemed to be from Park Ave.
Friday, May 2
Incident Nature: Injury Accident
A deputy investigated a single vehicle traffic accident that occurred at the Promontory Gate House. During the investigation, it was discovered that the involved vehicle was not registered and did not have insurance. The vehicle was state tax impounded and the driver was issued a citation for several traffic related offenses.
Incident: Theft
A Mahre Drive resident reported he had multiple packages containing merchandise stolen from his porch. There is no suspect information available and no video surveillance of the incident. This case is closed due to a lack of suspect information.
Incident: Traffic Stop
Near Snow Creek Drive, two electric bike riders were warned for doing wheelies on class 2 electric bikes on public roadways.
Saturday, May 3
Incident: Burglary
Deputies received a call of multiple alarm drops at the Jeremy Store. An unknown suspect shattered the front door, entered and burglarized the store. The same suspect description and method as the previous case in February. The suspect was not located.
Incident: Drugs
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a registration violation. A search of the vehicle was conducted during the stop and multiple controlled substances were located. The driver was placed under arrest and booked into the Summit County Jail.
Incident: Impound
A vehicle was stopped for no insurance and revoked registration at 1815 W Canyons Resort Drive. Upon contact with the driver, it was confirmed that the vehicle was not insured. The vehicle was state tax impounded by Park City Towing, and the driver was released with a citation.
Sunday, May 4
Incident: Injury Accident
Deputies responded to W Kilby Road and Pinebrook Boulevard for the report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian. After investigation it was found a juvenile had been riding his electric bicycle. The rear of the juvenile’s bike collided with a vehicle completing a turn. The juvenile received a minor scratch to his hand, and minor damage to his bike. Juvenile was reunited with his parents. Medical treatment was not required on-scene.
Incident: Warrant of Arrest
Deputies were dispatched to a suspicious detail located at W Tollgate Canyon Road. The complainant reported that there was a male rummaging through the dumpsters and then got into a Volkswagen Beetle. On arrival, deputies observed two individuals inside the VW bug parked near the dumpsters. Contact was made with the individuals. A records check was conducted and it was revealed that the male individual had an active warrant for his arrest. The male was taken into custody without incident and transported to Summit County Jail.
Incident: Hit and Run, Non-injury
A Toyota Prius backed into a Silver Chevy Silverado in the Chevron parking lot. The driver of the Prius fled on foot after the crash. He was located a short time later between the car wash and the Best Western Hotel. Troopers in the area challenged the male and he fled on foot again. He was again located by Troopers and Deputies and taken into custody. He had no driver’s license, no insurance, no registration. The vehicle was state tax impounded.
Incident: Assault, Domestic Violence
Deputies responded to a Domestic Violence in progress on Canyon Drive. Deputies contacted both involved parties and investigated the incident. The offender was arrested for Assault-DV.
