PARK CITY, Utah—Park City Municipal seeks residents to fill vacancies on six boards and commissions that help shape local policies and initiatives. The city encourages interested and eligible residents to apply for positions on the Library Board, Public Art Advisory Board, Recreation Advisory Board, Nonprofit Services Advisory Committee, Police Complaint Review Committee, and the Appeal Panel.
“Park City relies on the dedication of our resident volunteers to help keep us moving in the right direction,” said Mayor Nann Worel. “These boards ensure we remain a City that is responsive to its residents. I deeply appreciate the time and effort our volunteers invest in shaping Park City’s future.”
Each board serves a distinct function in the community:
- The Library Board advises on policies and services to maintain the Park City Library as a vital resource.
- The Public Art Advisory Board oversees the selection and maintenance of public art.
- The Recreation Advisory Board provides input on local recreation programs and facilities.
- The Nonprofit Services Advisory Committee evaluates grant funding for local nonprofits.
- The Police Complaint Review Committee reviews specific complaints against the police department to promote transparency.
- The Appeal Panel hears and decides appeals related to Planning Commission decisions.
Time commitments for each board vary. Residents interested in applying can find more information on the city’s website.
