PARK CITY, Utah — Park City High School students are raising funds to grant the wish of an 11-year-old girl with congenital heart disease as part of their annual Make-A-Wish fundraiser.
During the latest Park City School District Board of Education meeting, the student representative reported on the campaign, which, with community support, raised more than $11,000 last year.
This year’s fundraiser will benefit Hannah, a Utah girl who was diagnosed with congenital heart disease before birth. She underwent her first open-heart surgery at just eight days old, followed by two more major surgeries by age 3. Now stable, but under continued medical care, Hannah will eventually require a heart transplant.

Despite her medical challenges, Hannah is described as “fierce and sassy,” with a love for dance, babysitting, and spending time with her family. She wishes to visit Walt Disney World, where she hopes to meet her favorite Disney characters and experience the park’s newest attractions.
Donations can be made through the high school’s Instagram page, @pchsminers, or directly through Make-A-Wish Utah.
