Free weekend shuttle Transit to Trails resumes this weekend

PARK CITY, Utah—A free shuttle service is now available for winter outdoor enthusiasts looking to access trails between Park City and Empire Pass. The Transit to Trails Park City (Winter) program provides transportation for skiers, snowshoers, and fat tire bikers every Saturday and Sunday, weather and conditions permitting.

Riders can reserve a seat for transport to the trailheads by booking online. The shuttle pick-up location is at 1376 Munchkin Rd., Park City, and drop-offs are at Empire Pass via Twisted Branch Rd. Riders must coordinate their return trip with the driver.

To make changes or cancel a reservation, contact 801-298-2191 or utahmountainshuttle@gmail.com.

Important guidelines

  • Arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled shuttle.
  • Drivers accept tips and will load equipment.
  • Unscheduled riders may be accepted based on availability.
  • If you book a seat, please show up or provide notice if unable to attend.
  • Shuttles may be canceled due to weather or road conditions.

Additional considerations

Riders bringing bikes or dogs should email in advance. The service is provided in Sprinter vans labeled Utah Mountain Shuttle, with potential for other pick-up locations in Park City depending on rider demand.

To ensure a safe and responsible experience, passengers are reminded to plan for changing weather, bring water, lock vehicles, and follow “pack it in, pack it out” principles.

This service is a collaboration between Park City Municipal Corporation and Utah Mountain Shuttle, aiming to reduce congestion, preserve landscapes, and improve access to outdoor recreation.
