Utah Olympic Park delays inaugural uphill ski program start
Despite recent snowfall, UOP trails remain closed due to insufficient coverage for safe use
PARK CITY, Utah — Citing a lack of snow and poor mountain conditions, the Utah Olympic Park (UOP) announced on Monday that the inaugural uphill ski program will not open on Jan. 1 as originally planned. Despite recent snowfall, UOP trails remain closed due to insufficient coverage for safe use. The UOP team is monitoring conditions daily and will provide updates to passholders via email. Anticipated opening dates and further announcements will also be posted on the UOP website UOP Mountain Conditions page.
In November 2024, the Utah Olympic Park announced the opening of three distinct uphill routes, designed to accommodate varying skill levels and offer a range of difficulty. For the 2024–25 season, a limited number of uphill season passes were made available and sold out within minutes of being listed on the website.
