Santa spotted on the Town Lift: Your guide to catching Kris Kringle in Park City
PARK CITY, Utah — Word on the slopes is that a certain jolly someone in a red suit is sneaking in some pre-Christmas Park City visits. And no, we’re not talking about that one neighbor who wears a Santa hat to the grocery store all December.
Santa Trades Sleigh for Town Lift
On Saturday, December 21, Santa’s ditching his traditional transportation for something a bit more local – the Town Lift! Starting at 5 p.m., Park City Mountain is hosting what we’re calling “Operation Santa Spot.” There’ll be holiday tunes, fresh-baked cookies, and hot cocoa.
The main event? At 6:00 p.m., watch as Santa shows off his smooth lift-riding skills coming down the Town Lift. Stick around until 6:30 p.m. for photos – and yes, he’s perfected his pose after centuries of practice. Pro tip: This is your chance to make your case for the “nice” list in person.
Christmas Eve at Deer Valley: Santa’s Luxury Mountain Tour
If you thought Santa was busy on Christmas Eve, you’re right – but apparently not too busy for some last-minute Park City powder stops at Deer Valley Resort.
Catch him first at Snow Park Lodge base area from 9 to 11 a.m. Then, he’s heading up to Silver Lake Lodge from noon to 1:30 p.m.
Bring your camera – and maybe some snacks. We hear he’s trying to get in a few more cookies before the big night.
Pendry’s Plaza Party: Santa’s plus-one brings antlers
Oh, and for those wondering where Santa’s transportation team rests up before the big global tour – we’ve got intel. On December 23, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Pendry Park City is hosting a special meet-and-greet with both Santa AND his reindeer (talk about a power duo). The best part? They’re bringing along a professional photographer to capture all those “dear deer” moments free of charge.
That’s right – a complimentary community event where you can snap pics with Santa and get up close with his famous four-legged flight crew.
Remember folks, these are prime opportunities to fact-check your kids’ Christmas lists. Just saying.
