S.W.A.T. Team conducts arrests in Heber City amid gang-related violence
With charges including aggravated assault and possession of dangerous weapons, police describe the group as a significant threat to public safety
HEBER CITY, Utah – On November 19, the Wasatch County/Heber City S.W.A.T. team executed three search warrants targeting a self-proclaimed gang involved in multiple violent incidents in Heber City. This operation, part of the Wasatch Back Major Crimes Task Force, aimed to address rising public safety concerns stemming from the group’s alleged criminal activities.
The operation was a collaborative effort involving the Summit County Sheriff’s Office drone program and the Secure Task Force. According to Heber City Police, the gang had been linked to assaults involving brass knuckles and firearms since late summer, with victims spread across multiple locations in Heber City.
Following an investigation, authorities identified the suspects and secured warrants for their homes. Given the group’s significant threat level, the S.W.A.T. team was called in to serve the warrants. The operation resulted in the arrests of three juvenile males and one adult male.
Charges against the suspects include multiple counts of aggravated assault, possession of dangerous weapons by a minor, threats of violence, and possession of THC. All charges also carry gang-related enhancements, which could lead to harsher penalties.
Heber City Police have emphasized the seriousness of the incidents, urging residents to remain vigilant as authorities continue their efforts to ensure community safety.
