On-street parking restricted in Summit County beginning Nov. 15

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — Summit County’s winter parking restrictions will take effect this Friday, Nov. 15. To facilitate smooth snow removal operations, all on-street parking on county roads will be barred until April 15, 2025. County officials stress that parked vehicles will be subject to towing and removal at the owner’s expense if they obstruct snowplows or violate posted restrictions. These restrictions are crucial for public safety.

To further ensure efficient snow clearing, the county advises property owners to keep their driveways and nearby areas clear, directing any snow removed from their properties onto their own land rather than public roads. The county states that any snow pushed onto county roads can become a hazard not only to drivers but also to snowplow operators.

Violators may also be held liable for any damage their vehicles or other obstacles cause to county snow removal equipment. The county encourages residents to plan for the upcoming winter restrictions and consult its website for further guidance and seasonal safety reminders.
