SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — A head-on car crash Wednesday night on SR 248 closed traffic in both directions for several hours and left one driver in critical condition.
Officials said two vehicles were traveling eastbound on SR-248 on Wednesday night at the time of the incident.
“For an unknown reason at this time, the gray SUV traveling westbound left its lane of travel crossing into oncoming traffic clipping a white SUV and colliding head-on with a red passenger vehicle,” officials said in a press release.
Officials reported that the occupants of the white SUV were unharmed. Two people in the gray SUV sustained minor injuries and were transported for treatment, while the individual in the red car was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
