PARK CITY, Utah – Brighton Resort, located high in Big Cottonwood Canyon, had a surprise, unofficial opening Tuesday thanks to recent snowfall. The official grand opening of the season will take place Thursday, November 14.
“We managed to get the mountain ready a little earlier than expected so if you have a Brighton Season Pass or Ikon Pass you can come up and ride right now,” an Instagram post Wednesday read.
Ski Utah’s app is reporting a base depth of 11 inches and 5 inches in the last 24 hours. Lifts will turn Thursday from 9am-4pm, tickets are available on Brighton’s website.
