Thrills and chills at 8,000 feet: Snowbasin debuts Haunted Basin experience
HUNTSVILLE, Utah — Snowbasin Resort is set to host its inaugural Haunted Basin event this October, offering two weekends of Halloween fun. The event will run from October 10-14 and October 17-21, with nightly activities from 6-11 p.m.
Visitors are invited to experience a range of thrilling attractions, including a 0.5-mile haunted forest trail. “Dare to enter our shadowy, twisted trails,” the resort challenges. “Will you make it out unscathed?”
Haunted Basin will feature family-friendly activities from 6-7 p.m., followed by more intense scares from 7-11 p.m. The Haunted Cinnabar will show horror films (reservations are recommended) and offer additional attractions such as black-light mini-golf. Themed food and drinks will also be available. Don’t forget to check out their specialty cocktail, RedЯum, or their Betelgeuse martini.
The event layout includes:
– Earl’s Lodge: Open 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
– Haunted Cinnabar: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (Reservations recommended, coming soon)
– Black Light Mini Golf: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
– Grizzly Center: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Admission to Earl’s Plaza and Earl’s Lodge is free. Ticket prices are as follows:
– Family Hour (6-7 p.m.): $15 for ages 13 and over, $10 for ages 12 and under
– Haunted Basin (7-11 p.m.): $25 for ages 13 and over, $15 for ages 12 and under
– Premier Pass holders receive a $5 discount on all ticket purchases
