Stio and 5Point Film team up for Adventure Film Festival at National Ability Center
PARK CITY, Utah—The 5Point Adventure Film Festival, presented by Stio, will offer an inspiring evening of short outdoor films at the National Ability Center on Friday, Oct. 11. The event, part of the festival’s “On The Road” (OTR) program, will be held from 7 to 9 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m. at The HUB, 1000 Ability Way.
The festival, which features a curated lineup of films from 5Point’s flagship event, highlights outdoor adventures and the power of storytelling. Attendees will enjoy local beverages, special guest appearances, and the chance to participate in a prize drawing. All proceeds benefit the National Ability Center, a nonprofit dedicated to adaptive recreation for people with disabilities.
“Stio was founded to inspire balanced living in connection with nature, and we cannot think of a better partner and platform to help us share that vision than 5Point Film,” said Liz Barrett, brand director at Stio. “This will be our second year teaming up with the festival for its On The Road program, and we look forward to amplifying the diverse and powerful stories of its filmmakers while connecting with our Mountain Studio communities.”
Stio, a Jackson Hole-based outdoor apparel company, became the title partner of 5Point in 2019, finding alignment in their mutual emphasis on balanced living and adventure. The 5Point Adventure Film Festival, founded in 2007 by Julie Kennedy, promotes outdoor adventure, passion, and community through the art of film.
Luis Yllanes, executive director of 5Point Film, expressed his excitement about the continued collaboration with Stio. “We are so thrilled and thankful for the continued support from Stio as our title partner and their commitment to sharing impactful storytelling,” Yllanes said. “To be able to show these inspiring films to audiences throughout the country is a great way to bring a taste of what 5Point Film does to encourage folks to ‘let the outside in,’ in the same way Stio does.”
The “On The Road” program, in partnership with Stio, includes stops in nine cities nationwide, including Park City on Oct. 11. At each location, the festival partners with a local nonprofit, with the National Ability Center benefiting from the Park City event. Other stops on the tour include Stio locations in Bend, Boulder, Bozeman, Freeport, Jackson Hole, Lake Tahoe, Boise, and Boston, supporting various local causes from adaptive sports to youth empowerment.
Tickets for the Park City event include a beverage, a raffle ticket, and a donation to the National Ability Center. The first 25 ticket holders will receive a free Stio t-shirt. Onsite concessions and additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase with cash or Venmo.
