Park City Community Foundation sets $5M goal for this year’s Live PC Give PC
PARK CITY, Utah — The Park City Community Foundation aims to surpass last year’s record-breaking fundraising efforts with its 14th annual Live PC Give PC event on Nov. 15.
The foundation hopes to attract 7,300 donors and raise $5 million for 128 local nonprofits in 24 hours. This goal follows the 2023 event, which saw 7,160 donors contribute over $4.8 million through more than 16,000 donations.
Joel Zarrow, president and CEO of the Park City Community Foundation, emphasized the event’s focus on community involvement.
“The idea is to get the entire community involved, which is why the minimum donation to participate is set at a modest five dollars,” Zarrow said. “We measure our success as much by the number of unique donors as we do by the total funds raised.”
The event supports nonprofits serving Park City, Summit County, Wasatch County, and some with statewide impact. For many organizations, Live PC Give PC represents their largest annual fundraiser. There are currently 129 organizations participating in this year’s event.
Since its inception, Live PC Give PC has raised nearly $31 million over 13 years. Donors can contribute through a central online hub, with early giving already open. However, the foundation recommends waiting until Nov. 15, as donations made that day can qualify organizations for additional cash boosts and matching grants.
The foundation will award $37,000 in prize money to nonprofits that attract the most unique donors. Those who contributed in 2023 will see their donations boosted by $10 this year.
Community celebrations on Nov. 15 include a Giving Day Fest at Park City Library from 4 to 6 p.m., featuring music, free food, and activities for all ages. An evening party for adults 21 and over will be held at High West Saloon from 8 p.m. to midnight.
