Junction Commons to host Small Business Saturday art market, seeking local artists
PARK CITY, Utah — Junction Commons is seeking local artists and makers for its Small Business Saturday Holiday Maker’s Market on Nov. 30.
The outdoor event, running from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., aims to showcase regional talent and craftsmanship. In case of bad weather, it will move indoors.
Jocelyn Scudder, executive director of the Arts Council of Park City & Summit County, said, “We are always seeking opportunities for local artists to help them thrive and grow in our community, connecting them with the platform that Junction Commons can offer on Small Business Saturday is great exposure for our creative entrepreneurs!”
The market, organized in partnership with the Arts Council, will feature up to 40 creatives selling items such as fine art, jewelry, handcrafted home decor and textiles.
Abby Phillips, marketing and specialty leasing manager at Junction Commons, said, “The market, a vibrant celebration of small businesses and handmade goods, aims to support local creatives while offering the community a unique holiday shopping experience.”
Participating artists must provide their own 10-by-10-foot tent and be present throughout the event.
The application deadline is Nov. 1, with notifications sent by Nov. 4. Booth fees are $75, payable to the Arts Council.
Phillips noted that Junction Commons typically sees over 12,000 customers during Black Friday weekend.
Interested artists can find submission guidelines and requirements here. The event coincides with the national Small Business Saturday initiative.
