UTAH COUNTY, Utah — Heather Leann Murray, a 35-year-old Heber City woman, was arrested early Saturday after allegedly stealing a pickup truck at gunpoint near Bridal Veil Falls. The Utah County Sheriff’s Office responded around 2 a.m. to a report that the woman, Heather Leann Murray, threatened four individuals before taking their vehicle.
Murray initially refused commands to exit the vehicle and attempted to flee, driving into the Provo River before abandoning the truck.
About a dozen officers, troopers, and more deputies from Orem, Provo, and Lehi police departments and Utah Highway Patrol responded to assist in looking for Murray. Deputies apprehended her after a brief foot chase. A BB gun, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia were found in her possession.

Murray was booked into the Utah County Jail facing 12 different charges, including six violent felonies:
- Aggravated robbery, first-degree felony
- Theft of a motor vehicle, second-degree felony
- Property damage greater than $5,000, second-degree felony
- Aggravated assault x 4, third-degree felony
- Possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, third-degree felony
- Fail to stop at the command of law enforcement, class A misdemeanor
- Possession of a controlled substance, class A misdemeanor
- DUI-metabolite, class B misdemeanor
- Possession of drug paraphernalia, class B misdemeanor
A judge has ordered that Murray be held without bail.
