Christian Center of Park City welcomes new leader as long-serving director steps down
PARK CITY, Utah — The Christian Center of Park City (CCPC) is marking a significant transition in leadership as it welcomes new executive director Steve Richardson and bids farewell to Rob Harter, who has led the organization for nearly 14 years.
Richardson, who has recently arrived to take the helm as CCPC’s third executive director since its founding in 2000, steps into a role shaped by Harter’s transformative tenure.
Under Harter’s leadership since 2010, CCPC has experienced remarkable growth, expanding its operations to include two campuses, four stores, and a growing Counseling and Wellness center.
Susan Swartz, chair of the board of directors, lauded Harter’s contributions: “Over Rob’s leadership tenure, he has embodied our mission at CCPC to meet people at their point of need as an expression of God’s love. Through his tireless and selfless leadership, CCPC has touched countless lives in our community.”
As Harter steps down from his role as executive director, he will transition to serving on CCPC’s board and will focus on expanding the Center’s Counseling and Wellness offerings.
Richardson brings over 24 years of leadership experience to his new role, along with a doctorate and two master’s degrees. Doug Schillinger, head of CCPC’s search committee and board member, expressed confidence in the new appointment: “Steve’s passion for inspiring people to flourish in addition to his past experience and leadership skills, all aligned very well with our mission at CCPC and has prepared him for this role. We are excited to welcome him aboard.”
The organization will host open houses to introduce Richardson and honor Harter’s service on Nov. 7, 12 and 21 at its Park City campus. More details will be announced later.
