Fire officials have implemented an area closure for public safety. Authorities are asking all campers within the affected area to evacuate. The closure boundaries extend from Mill Hollow on the west to Wolf Creek campground on the east and from Highway 35 on the north to Duchesne Ridge on the south.
Initial response included units from Wasatch Fire District, which have since been released from the scene. Wasatch County Public Works is providing support with two water tenders and four personnel.
Fire crews on-site include five engines, two helicopters, and two ground crews. A smoke column is currently visible from Park City, Heber, and Midway. Officials urge the public to stay clear of the Duchesne Ridge area as fire operations are ongoing.
The Forest Service has not yet determined the cause of the fire or provided an estimate for containment. Residents are asked not to report smoke sightings.
