Mountain Mettle Boxing and Charity event raises funds for the Parkinson’s Foundation and the RISE Strong Foundation’s youth scholarship program
PARK CITY, Utah — RISE Boxing hosted the Mountain Mettle Boxing and Charity event on Sept. 7. The event took place at The Corner Store at Park City Mountain Resort’s base and featured 20 amateur boxing matches, showcasing local and regional talent.
Sanctioned by USA Boxing, the event’s proceeds were split evenly between the Rocky Mountain chapter of the Parkinson’s Foundation and the RISE Strong Foundation’s youth scholarship program.
RISE Boxing’s Parkinson’s program has supported over 30 participants with classes aimed at slowing disease progression and improving quality of life. This year, the organization provided over 100 hours of coaching to those affected by Parkinson’s and awarded 90 scholarships through its youth program.
