Construction worker hospitalized after dump truck runs over arm at White Pine Canyon site

PARK CITY, Utah — A construction worker sustained a serious arm injury after being run over by a dump truck on a worksite at 75 White Pine Canyon Rd. on Sept. 17, according to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the scene after receiving a call regarding the accident. Upon arrival, the man was provided emergency medical care before medical units transported him to the hospital for further treatment. Sergeant Felicia Sotelo of the Summit County Sheriff’s Office stated, “It appears that the individual either slipped or fell, and the dump truck driver didn’t see him. His arm was run over by the truck.” The worker was reportedly conscious and breathing when emergency personnel arrived.

The Utah Occupational Safety and Health Division (UOSH) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) are investigating the incident.

The exact condition of the injured worker remains unknown.
