Basin Recreation pilots tennis court reservations at Willow Creek Park

PARK CITY, Utah — Basin Recreation is implementing a pilot reservation system for tennis courts at Willow Creek Park to maximize usage and ensure playing time for community members.

The proposed system would offer free, one-hour court reservations from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Residents could book up to two one-hour slots per day, with reservations for the following week opening each Friday.

While not mandatory, the system would prioritize reserved slots over drop-in players. The nearby pickleball courts at Willow Creek Park and all courts at Trailside Park would remain first-come, first-served.

Players can cancel reservations anytime and are encouraged to do so if unable to attend, allowing others to use the court.

Basin Recreation plans to test this system from Sept. 1-30. If successful, the organization may implement it for the 2025 season. Participants will have the opportunity to provide feedback through surveys.

The move aims to address court availability issues and improve access for local tennis enthusiasts.
