Son of Heber City Police chief admits to sexually assaulting two elderly women

Jayden Parker Sever, a 20-year-old caregiver at Spring Gardens Senior Living, has been charged with attempted rape and object rape of two elderly women with dementia. The abuse allegedly occurred between February and March 2024. Sever confessed to his father, Heber City Police Chief Parker Sever, who reported him to authorities. Sever is being held in jail without bail.

Husband flees after assaulting and hospitalizing elderly Summit County woman

On July 22, an elderly woman was assaulted and injured in Summit County. Her husband, Kevin D. Wilde, was the suspect. Wilde fled but was captured in Montana on July 23. Summit County authorities are working on his extradition back to Utah. Sheriff Frank Smith praised the response from law enforcement in neighboring states, and is seeking further information from the public.
