Temporary overnight closure of westbound US-40 flyover to I-80 on night of July 30

Temporary closure scheduled for slab replacement; traffic to be diverted to Silver Creek Road

PARK CITY, Utah — Tonight, Tuesday, July 30, at 8 p.m., crews will temporarily close the westbound US-40 to I-80 ramp. The closure will last until Wednesday morning, July 31, at 5 a.m. for full-depth concrete slab replacement. Traffic will be diverted to Silver Creek Road (Exit 1), where vehicles can access the signalized intersection to merge onto westbound I-80.

“Motorists should expect delays and plan alternative routes where possible,” stated UDOT in a Facebook post. UDOT emphasized the importance of driver caution in construction zones for the safety of both workers and travelers.

This project aims to improve road safety and infrastructure durability in the region.
