Two of the local trips offered are the ‘Local Waters, Half-Day’ and the ‘Group Trips, Half-Day.’ See details below.

Local Waters, Half Day

Jans Guided Fly Fishing trips are expertly led on the Weber River and Provo River, with the exact location determined by conditions, group size, and experience level. The seasoned guides at Jans keep up to date with local river conditions and hatches, ensuring the best possible fishing experience. Possible catches include brown trout, rainbow trout, mountain whitefish, Bonneville cutthroat, and brook trout.

No experience or equipment is necessary, as all fishing gear is provided. For added convenience, guides can bring waders and rods to meet participants at the river, or groups can gather at Jans on Park Avenue before departure. To keep beverages cold, a cooler is available in the vehicle for after the fishing trip.

Whether new to the sport or looking to refine skills, Jans’ guides tailor each trip to meet individual needs. From casting techniques and knot tying to river reading and entomology, the guides help make the most of the time on the water.
