Heat wave expected to strike Park City later this week, 95 degree temps
PARK CITY, Utah — The National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting a high temperature of 95 degrees in Park City for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday this week. The NWS is calling the event a heat wave, which is defined as a period of abnormally and uncomfortably hot and unusually humid weather, typically lasting two or more days.
An Excessive Heat Watch is in effect from Thursday morning through Saturday evening. Temperatures are expected to peak on Friday and Saturday in the northern half of the state.
Southern Utah could see dangerously high temperatures, reaching between 110 and 115 degrees. Meanwhile, the Wasatch Front is forecasted to experience temperatures between 100 and 105 degrees.
