PARK CITY, Utah – Kimball Art Center is excited to announce the 2024 Park City Kimball Arts Festival lineup of art activations and experiences for the 2024 event, taking place from August 2-4. Recognized as one of Park City’s signature events, the festival offers a dynamic platform for artists and art enthusiasts to connect, explore, and celebrate the arts.

FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS

Attending Artists

Celebrating its 55th year, this premier three-day, open-air arts festival features the work of nearly 200 jury-selected artists in 13 different mediums. Here is a full list of exhibiting artists.

Studio on Main
With two locations—one at the intersection of Heber Ave and Main Street and the other in Miner’s Park—Studio on Main offers interactive, bite-sized art education activities inspired by Kimball Art Center’s current exhibitions.

Studio on Main, Heber:

  • Friendship Bracelet Exchange, offered on Friday, August 2, and Saturday, August 3: Celebrate community ties by making and exchanging friendship bracelets.

  • Face Painting offered on Sunday, August 4: Choose from a selection of designs for a fun, artistic experience.

Studio on Main, Miner’s Park:

  • Reflection Wall, offered for the duration of the festival, August 2 – 4: Reflect on community inclusion and value.

  • Wheel Try It!, offered Saturday, August 3: Watch pottery wheel demonstrations by KAC teachers and try your hand at the wheel. Handbuilding activities are also available.

Creation Station

Situated at the Town Lift Plaza, Creation Station focuses on youth-based programming that ties into the current KAC exhibition, In the Shadow of the Wall. Highlights include two paid activities with take-home creations, a free community collaboration, and a partnership tent with free activities from local nonprofits. This is also where children turn in completed Scavenger Hunts for a prize. Programming includes:

  • Clay Beads: Design unique wearable art with air-dry clay.
    Paid Activity –  $3 for one, $5 for two (includes an art piece to take home)

  • Window Art: Create colorful, translucent crafts mimicking stained glass.
    Paid Activity: $3 for one, $5 for two (includes an art piece to take home)

  • Community Collaboration: Reflect on the theme of interconnectedness and participate in a collaborative artwork.
    Free Activity

  • Scavenger Hunt: Engage with the festival through a fun scavenger hunt, with prizes provided by OC Tanner Jewelers.
    Free Activity

  • Partnership Tent: Enjoy free activities provided by local nonprofits, focusing on environmental awareness. Participating organizations include Recycle Utah, Live Like Sam, Park City Library, and Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance.

New for 2024

  • Young Artist Academy (YAA) Booth: Located on Heber Avenue, this booth will feature works by members of Kimball Art Center’s Young Artist Academy, a program for teenagers who are dedicated to the study and practice of the visual arts, creative thinking, and creative professions. Proceeds from the booth benefit the artist and Kimball Art Center.

  • Coffee Meet-Up: On Sunday, August 4, at 10 a.m., the first 100 attendees will receive a commemorative travel mug and complimentary coffee at the Bear Bench on Park City’s Main Street.

  • Festival Merchandise: Featuring designs by former YAA student and festival design contest winner Sadie Abuhaidar, a Park City native and current art student at Connecticut College.

Student Murals: Murals created by Kimball Art Center students will be displayed on Main Street. They will showcase the creativity and talent of young artists from the Park City Summer School Enrichment Program and the National Ability Center. These murals reflect themes of community, self-reflection, and imaginative landscapes.

Music: A full lineup of music and entertainment is programmed during Festival hours.

Food and Beverage: In addition to Historic Park City’s more than 50 bars and restaurants, Kimball Arts Festival partners with local restaurants and food trucks to host featured culinary artisans. Culinary artisans are located in the Food Truck Alley in the Brewpub parking lot and Artisan Alley along Heber Avenue.

  • 2024 Festival tickets are now available at kimballartsfestival.org. Daily access tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for kids ages 6 – 17 when purchased by August 1st. Children five and under are free. Daily ticket prices increase Friday, August 2, to $15 for adults and $7 for children.

  • Park City and Summit County residents, second homeowners, and Main Street employees receive free admission to the Kimball Arts Festival on Locals’ Night, Friday, August 2, 2024. Residents must register before arriving at the Festival gates. Main Street employee access is available through their employer.

  • The Weekender Pass, offering unlimited access to the Festival plus access to the Festival’s VIP Lounge with limited benefits, is available for $99.

  • VIP Passes offer unlimited access to the Festival and a full suite of VIP benefits, including complimentary craft cocktails, select meals and culinary samplings, and Kimball Art Center swag. Additional programming from Park City area partners will be announced. VIP Passes are available for $299.
