Calling all Utah business owners: Walmart’s Open Call program applications due July 15

UTAH — Walmart is currently accepting applications for its 11th annual Open Call program. The program allows entrepreneurs across the U.S. to apply to sell products on Walmart or Sam’s Club shelves or online. The program is open to small and medium-sized businesses, and the products must be made, grown, or assembled in the U.S.

Walmart has 59 retail outlets and employs 20,350 associates in Utah. They also support 25,608 supplier jobs and have spent $2.6 million with Utah suppliers in FY24 alone.

Walmart and Sam’s Club merchants received over 1,000 pitches in 2023 from more than 700 businesses from all 50 states.

The company also offers mentoring sessions and one-on-one pitches with Walmart and Sam’s Club merchants for entrepreneurs selected for the program.

This year’s Open Call event is scheduled for September 24 and 25 in Bentonville, Ark., where the company is headquartered.
