SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Jazz unveiled new uniforms on Wednesday, inspired by the Beehive State’s Wasatch Mountain Range.

The NBA team revealed the next two seasons of their primary uniforms, which feature mountain symbolism and and expanded color palette, including Mountain Purple, Midnight Black and Sky Blue.

“Our branding will always be an iterative process as we, our fanbase, and the game of basketball continue to grow,” said Ryan Smith, governor of the Utah Jazz. “It’s clear that Mountain Basketball and purple are at the soul of Utah and the Jazz, and we’re excited to share with our community what they have to look forward to.”

The Jazz’s uniforms for the 2024-25 season will consist of four different jerseys: the white Association Edition jersey with the black Jazz Note centerpiece and yellow detail will be worn for the full season, and the current black Statement Edition jersey with yellow UTAH letters on the chest will be worn through December 2024 and transition to a new black Statement Edition uniform in the Mountain Basketball color palette beginning in January 2025.

The 2024 City Edition uniform will sport a refreshed purple mountain design, and be worn throughout the 2024-25 season.

Mountain Basketball apparel is now available for purchase both online and in-person at the Utah Jazz Team Store inside the Delta Center. The 2024-25 City Edition uniform will be available for purchase in fall 2024, and the new Utah Jazz Statement Edition uniform will be available to fans in early 2025.

The introduction of the Mountain Basketball uniforms follows a tumultuous rebrand in 2022 that introduced yellow to the team’s color palette in order to highlight Utah’s title as the Beehive State. Fans criticized the team’s new look, and Smith ultimately addressed the rebrand by saying “it will evolve and it will go.”

Mountain Basketball pop-up event June 8

To celebrate the rebrand, the Jazz will host a free Mountain Basketball pop-up merchandise event at Snowbird Resort’s Snowbird Center on Saturday, June 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. where attendees will be able to shop for new gear.

The first 100 guests will receive a free gift with purchase, including either a Snowbird Summer All-Day Activity Pass or a scenic tram ride to the summit. There will also be a drawing for ten pairs of 2024-25 Utah Jazz tickets and a season ski pass to Snowbird, as well as an appearance from the Jazz Bear.
