Local parents invited to panel discussion on smartphone impact on children
June 5 panel and discussion on "The Anxious Generation"
SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — A panel discussion titled “The Anxious Generation” will take place at Ecker Hill Middle School on June 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. The event aims to address the implications of smartphone use on children by bringing together various experts and community stakeholders.
The discussion will feature Jill Thompson, a parent and teacher at McPolin Elementary; Caleb Fine, principal of Treasure Mountain Junior High; and Pamella Bello, director of behavioral health at Summit County Health. The panelists will explore the growing concerns around the psychological and developmental effects of smartphone use on children.
The event is open to anyone concerned about smartphones’ impact on children and encourages community dialogue on the issue.
