Summer activities begin May 24 at Utah Olympic Park

PARK CITY, Utah — Summer officially begins at Utah Olympic Park on Friday, May 24, with adventure experiences to spark the Olympic spirit in visitors of all ages.

The Utah Olympic Park ‘big four’ of Extreme Tubing, Extreme Zipline, the Alpine Slide and the Action Tower return, alongside several additional fun activities as part of the Summer Gold Pass.

Extreme Tubing, “the most thrilling and unique summer activity in Utah,” A UOP representative said in a statement, features a heart-pounding tube ride down the Utah Olympic Park ski jumps.

The Extreme Zipline gives guests the ski jumper experience as they soar through the air. The Alpine Slide is a smooth, comfortable, and scenic mountainside ride. The Action Tower caters to younger visitors—suitable for adventurers ages three and up. Kids can coast down the tubing lane, take a leap on the airbag jumps, test their climbing skills on the mini climbing wall, or take a nice, easy ride down the giant slide.

The Summer Gold Pass features 3.5-hour morning or afternoon sessions with unlimited use of the Action Tower, Extreme Zipline, Freestyle Zipline, Extreme Tubing, Alpine Slide and Discovery Ropes Course. Guests are encouraged to book early with savings of up to 20% on Gold Passes.

Summer Bobsled Experience rides—featuring sleds on wheels speeding down the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games bobsled, luge and skeleton track—are available in one-hour sessions starting May 24.

Flying Ace All-Stars Freestyle Shows will open for the summer season on June 14. It will feature the exciting combination of high-flying aerial ski and snowboard tricks and “spectacular splashes” into the Spencer F. Eccles Olympic Freestyle Pool. Individual tickets are $20 per person, or a Family Pack of four tickets is available for $70. Ages two and under can attend for free.

Utah Olympic Park will host Olympic Day on June 21 to celebrate the Olympic and Paralympic spirit in Utah. Free for all ages, this event will include demos to try a range of Olympic and Paralympic sports. Guests can visit each station to receive passport stamps. If they fill the passport, they’ll receive free admission to the Flying Ace All-Stars show that night.

To round out the summer, Utah Olympic Park will host the 2024 Anti-Gala on August 8. The Anti-Gala is the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation’s flagship fundraising evening to fund the Healthy Communities Initiative, which affords scholarships to Utah kids, regardless of socioeconomic circumstance, to participate in winter sports.
