Brighton and Snowbird pass 600 inches of snow this season
COTTONWOOD CANYONS, Utah — Thanks to May snowstorms, Brighton Resort and Snowbird have surpassed the coveted 600-inch mark this season.
Brighton passed 600 inches on May 8; according to OpenSnow, they currently have 610 inches. Snowbird also reached 600 inches last Wednesday, and their current total is 607 inches.
While Alta ski resort is closed for the season, their current total is 673 inches this week, according to the resort website. This is the second most in North America this season, only behind Alyeska (740 inches).
Two ski resorts are currently open in Utah. Brighton will be open daily until May 19, and Snowbird will have lifts open on Saturdays and Sundays through at least Memorial Day if conditions permit.
