Summit Bike Share season starts May 14 with contest and expanded pass options
SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — Summit Bike Share will begin its eighth season on Tuesday, May 14.
To celebrate the launch of the new season and National Bike to Work Day on May 17, the organization is promoting a contest: Submit a photo and/or video of you using the bike share to summitcounty.info/sbsopen by May 20 at 5 p.m., and you’ll be entered to win a helmet from Sweet Protection and more prizes.
Summit Bike Share is also introducing expanded season pass options, including the following:
- Individual pass for $4 per ride per e-bike for rides up to 30 minutes
- Monthly pass for $45 for unlimited rides up to 45 minutes
- Four-day pass for $20 for unlimited rides up to 45 minutes
- Season pass for $130 for unlimited rides up to 90 minutes
People can purchase a pass online, via their mobile app, or at a station kiosk to start riding.
Basin Recreation Bike to School Day
- Basin Recreation’s Bike to School Day is May 8. Ride to school and receive snacks, drinks, and giveaways.
- Time: 7:30-8:15 a.m.
- Locations: Parley’s Park, Jeremy Ranch, and Trailside Elementary Schools and Ecker Hill Middle School
McPolin Elementary Bike to School Day
- Park City’s Bike to School event with McPolin Elementary on May 10.
- Locations:
- 7:30 a.m. PC MARC: 1200 Little Kate Road, Park City, UT 84060
- 7:20 a.m. Park City Heights (Ledger Way and Richardson Flat Road)
- 7:45 a.m. Arches Park (End of Comstock Drive)
Note: Utah law prohibits children under the age of eight from riding e-bikes.
