“I am of course a Utah Royals fan, but I wanted to make an announcement. I am not just a fan, I am also a part owner,” Vonn said.
Having been born in Minnesota and skied globally, Vonn has spent considerable time in Utah and Park City, both for training and personal reasons.
Vonn is also playing a pivotal role in Salt Lake City’s bid for the 2034 Olympics.
“As someone that has been a member of the Utah community for a long time and also helping the Olympic bid for 2034, I am so excited to have the Utah Royals back,” Vonn said.
The Utah Royals’ season opener is on March 16 against the Chicago Red Stars. This season marks the return of professional women’s soccer to Utah.
