Reminder: Family-friendly Easter activities near Park City

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — As the snow continues to fall, it may be hard to believe spring is just around the corner. From traditional egg hunts to magical train rides, here are a few family-friendly Easter activities in and around Park City:

Basin Recreation’s Easter Egg Scramble and Hunt
Basin Recreation’s Easter Egg Scramble and Hunt will take place on March 30 at 12 p.m. at Matt Knoop Park. This event caters to young children, with activities designed for ages five and under and a new egg hunt for ages 6-10.

Snowbird’s Easter Egg Hunt
On Easter morning, Snowbird invites kids up to 11 years old to participate in its annual Easter Egg Hunt in Chickadee Bowl. This complimentary event starts at 8:15 a.m., and participants are reminded to dress warmly and bring their own Easter baskets. The Easter Bunny will be making a special appearance.

Easter Egg Hunt at Solitude
On March 31, from 9-11 a.m., the Moonbeam Lodge will host an Easter Egg Hunt, complete with a visit from the Easter Bunny. This festive event will feature three separate hunting areas catered to different age groups: Same Street to Little Dollie for ages 7-12, Easy Street and the base of Link and Magic Carpet for those six and under, and Solitude Village for children up to age 12. A limited number of jumbo eggs containing Solitude goodies will be hidden on the mountain, accessible to those with a valid lift ticket or pass.

Heber Valley Railroad Easter Bunny Train
The Easter Bunny Train offers a 40-minute round-trip journey filled with songs, fun, and a special Easter egg from the “Peeps.” Before boarding, children will have the chance to take pictures with the Easter Bunny at the depot, and upon return, there will be a magic show. The train will run on select dates from March 21-30, with fares at $15 for adults and $5 for children aged 2-11.

Easter Celebration at East Canyon State Park
East Canyon State Park in Morgan is hosting an Easter celebration that goes beyond the traditional egg hunt. Families can enjoy scenic picnic areas and participate in community activities, such as donating candy or setting up craft booths and business advertisements. This event is free with park entry.

Canyons Village Spring Concert Series
For a musical end to your Easter celebrations, the Canyons Village Spring Concert Series on March 30th from 3-5 p.m. features live music from Mr. OK & The Last Light.
