Peak day traffic pilot program to launch Dec. 15
PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Municipal will launch a new pilot program on Dec. 15 aimed to mitigate congestion on peak traffic days this winter.
Under this program, the following traffic flow changes will be implemented from 2-7 p.m. on future peak days:
- Left turn from Deer Valley Drive to Bonanza Drive will be transit-only.
- The merge on Kearns Boulevard will be changed so that drivers make a more gradual transition to the eastbound through lane.
- Drivers should use Kearns Boulevard as their primary route for access to Prospector or Park City Heights.
“Please note, if the plan does not show positive results, it may be altered or discontinued,” said an update from Park City Municipal. “As always, residents and visitors are encouraged to ride Park City Transit to and from resorts.”
