Park City Soccer Club wins Hero’s Cup in Nevada
MESQUITE, Nevada — The Park City Soccer Club Boys 2009 Red Team won all four of their games to take home the 2023 U15 Boys A Mesquite Hero’s Cup Championship on Sunday.
They had three shut-outs and only let through two goals in the entire tournament.
“The club directors have worked diligently to identify events that fit into our annual calendar that allow our teams to transition seamlessly out of league play in the fall and spring and continue their development,” Club Technical Director Eli Ulvi told TownLift. “The Hero’s Cup in Mesquite, NV is a smaller tournament played at a few locations in close proximity and generally has competition that is ideal for many of our teams. The lingering warmer weather is a welcome respite to the cooling temperatures at this time of year in Park City. The opportunity to observe and support our teams along with the fun memories the athletes and families experience make the Hero’s Cup something the club looks forward to participating in every year.”
The PCSC’s year-round tournament invitation schedule includes optional travel to Denver, Reno, Jackson Hole, Las Vegas, Durango, Cardiff, Boise, and Grand Junction.
PCSC currently has 33 competitive teams as well as the boys and girls Foundation programs.
