Brian Head Resort delays ski season opening

BRIAN HEAD, Utah — In an announcement made today, Brian Head Resort shared that it will be postponing the opening of its 2023/2024 ski season. The updated opening day is now set for Friday, Nov. 17, pending favorable weather and snow conditions.

The resort has encountered challenges due to warmer temperatures, which have caused a slowdown in the snowmaking process. Originally scheduled to open on Nov. 10, Brian Head Resort is taking proactive measures to ensure an exceptional skiing experience for its visitors.

“We’re eager to welcome skiers and riders for the season but the warmer temperatures haven’t allowed us to capitalize on our new snowmaking upgrades,” explains Amber Palmer, marketing manager at Brian Head, in a press release. “Our team is doing an incredible job and taking advantage of every opportunity to make snow so we can open as soon as possible.”
