The new playground emphasizes sight and sound as well as touch

Tomorrow, Oct. 17, will see the grand opening of the new playground at Willow Creek.

The former playground in the same space was dismantled, starting in early August, and has been replaced with an all-ability playground where children with sensory or mobility challenges can play alongside their peers.

The new playground emphasizes sight and sound as well as touch. Parts of it are also wheelchair-accessible.

The grand opening party is from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., with sunny skies and temperatures in the 60s in the forecast. Hot cocoa and cookies will be served.
