Pet rescued from residential fire in Valley Hills area of Heber City

One pet was rescued from a residential home fire and safely returned to its owners. Fortunately, no occupants were present in the house when the fire broke out.

HEBER CITY, Utah — Wasatch Fire District firefighters successfully contained a residential fire in the Valley Hills area on the north end of Heber City on the evening of Oct. 23. Upon arrival, heavy flames were reported at the rear of the home. However, fire crews managed to quickly gain control of the situation, preventing further spread of the fire. Thankfully, one pet was rescued from the home and safely returned to its owners. Fortunately, no occupants were present in the house when the fire broke out.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and authorities are working to determine its origin.
